[APP] ROMTools v2.3.1

Im not really that familiar with ADB

Okay...I really think you'll need to take the plunge with ADB if the button combo isn't working. Do you have everything installed on your computer so you can enter ADB commands?

**EDIT** One more thought, you could try drewwalton19216801's tool. That automates the ADB/SDK process. It's worth a try. Link to OP here.

no, unfortunately I do not have the sdk tools installed. What is the name of the procedure that Im looking to do, to undo this android recovery system.

If you follow the link I posted above to drew's tool you won't need to install the SDK tools. They're included in his download.

If you're trying to get him to 'adb reboot recovery' why not just use the "Reboot into recovery" option in my program? A bit quicker.

Either way. Just trying to help. I haven't used this program yet, so I'm not familiar with the capabilities.

Mmmaximus I think you have a little understanding of what I'm talking about I cant get in to recovery using the common, proper method because of the constant boot lop issue with androids custom recovery. When I try it just automatically goes into recovery loop, it simply will not allow me to do so. I believe you are correct when you suggested the adb method. I came across how to unbrick it, yes its a form of a brick, even though the phone is able to be of use, meaning making calls ect. the unbrick method for people that same problem, that looping issue, zefies post shows you how to unroot your phone and return to stock by adb. Question? Mmmaximus how to locate sdk tools, and how to go about setting it up. Thanks for your time.

I'll PM you some links since I think we're getting off topic for this thread. I'm not by my computer, so it might be a bit. Hang in there.

I installed sdk tools before for my aria, running the rom cyanogenmod. but I really cant remember where I got it .Is the sdk for all phones, and dont you have to transfer something in a file after installing the tools.

No problem. what is PM? I dont know any of that experience user talk. Im assuming a form of action to ad links.

I see the option to Mount /system r/w - Allows read/write access to /system
Is this the same as rooting only or is this only root access while useing romtools?

Also I see no mention of which version this will work on v9 and/or vc

This program can not provide you with root. The option you are seeing only issues the command 'adb remount'

Neither. All it does is remount /system so you can add or delete files.

just wondering. i was told i could download the v9 recovery and use it to upgrade. i was told to put it in a folder and rename. what folder exactly do i put it into?

I mean put it back to the stock recovery to upgrade to any future OS's so I dont brick my device.

I am not sure I understand how to use this to put a recovery on my phone. Say I want to put CWM on. Do I have to change the filename and put it somewhere?

Double click RecoveryFlasher.exe
Is this a typo?
