app specific notification sounds

There is probably a simple answer. I want the app that reminds me to drink water to have a special notification sound. All I am seeing is default ringtone, default messenger tone and one for the calendar.

Is there a way to do this?

Also, while I am here: is it possible to have individual notification sounds in messenger?

It depends on if the app allows you to choose a different notification tone. Otherwise, it'll use your default system tone (which you can change, but then you can't customize it specifically for the app). Open the app, tap Menu>Settings, and look for an option for Notifications. If you can change it, it'll be there.

If you're asking about the stock Messaging app, then yes, you can change the notification sound for each conversation. Select a conversation, tap Menu>Options, then look for the notification setting there -- that will be specific to that conversation.

I use the stock timer for things like that, and each alarm can have its own tone.

You can set the app to silent notification, then use Lightflow to choose a different sound.
