app to double tap home button shortcut

I'd like to attach my camera app as a shortcut by double tapping the home button (like the s6). Is that possible? Is they're am app for that?

You have 2 options:
A. Rooted then install Xposed framework, search for gravity box and under button settings select camera when you double press the home button

B. Nova Laucher Prime under gestures select the camera app. However this method will start the camera if you press and hold the home button

Using Nova launcher you can set different gestures to open any app (swipe up or down, double tap, etc).

Thanks I'm on Verizon so option 2 is my only choice. Is there other type of way to get to the camera quickly

I keep the camera icon front and center in my dock. One click camera access. Doesn't get much quicker than that

I want to be able to open it up without going to the home screen. I loved that about windows phone.
