App to write info to JPG? Like Weather, Date, Calendar?

I miss having a useful lock-screen. Tried the new MUILockscreen, but no weather.

Then I thought, I can use any of my own backgrounds, right? Why not have an app like MinimalisticText write to a JPG every, say, 30 minutes with Temp, Forecast, Upcoming Events, etc, and set that as my LockScreen Background?

I know there was an app for WebOS that did just that.
Any Apps out there that will do just that?
