So I have a nexus 6p. Marshmallow 6.0.1 update when I go to check the play store updates it will show some apps that need updating but a few times I opened a few apps in the playstore it shows update needed? Does this happen with anyone else? It's annoying ha-ha I don't want to open each app individually to see if their is a app.

Which apps do that? Sometimes, preinstalled Google apps don't show up initially in your My Apps list as needing an update until after you've updated them the first time. Then they'll show up. Although I think Google has fixed that little bug.

I had flixter that didn't show up under updates but when I opened the app in Google play it showed up

Try going to Settings>Apps>All, select Google Play Store, and Clear Cache/Clear Data. The open it again and see if this persists.

It won't give me a option to clear cache and data from the Google play store settings in app

Are you going to the main system settings, or the settings within Google Play Store? I mean the system settings. Go to Settings>Apps>All, select Google Play Store, then tap Storage, then Clear Cache/Clear Data.

Not fixed ;(

That's pretty weird. Go to Settings>Data Usage, select the Play Store, and make sure it's not set to Restrict Background Data.

Do you have multiple Google accounts associated with the Play Store?

What app do i use to update google to i can do my google account and access other apps

Sorry, but what do you mean by updating Google so you can do your Google account? Are you talking about the Google Play Store?

google play store not showing in settings

Welcome to Android Central! You've jumped into this thread midway, so unless you're having the exact situation as the original poster, perhaps you could give us more details, like which device you have, was Google Play Store preinstalled on your device, and where exactly you're looking for the Play Store.

I have the exact same problem,
Only thing that I can think of: I have signed in to google account/play with a Microsoft e-mail address, but I tried making a gmail account but it still didn't appear that I have updates...
Please help us with this issue
