They haven't released any figures since July.
The iPhone 6/6+ will be released this Friday, preorders have already reached 4 million in less then 24 hours.
Let's wait and see what happens.

I've no doubt that the iPhone will sell a lot more than any of samsung's phones and will be record breaking. However I strongly believe that samsung will sell more than 11 million S5 's this year.

As others have said sale figures don't matter to me ... Honestly ... What people choose for a phone doesn't matter to me... Everyone should just nab what they want and what makes them happy. Simple as that .

I am buying the iPhone 6 Plus, not to replace my LG G3 but to make as much as can off it (after I play with it for a week) so my Samsung Note Edge can be paid off faster. LOL

In iphone .first they filed case and fought with Samsung,google,LG ,Sony ..now the apple copy from all the phone models.. ..iphone can't Change Anything .Android one is going to change the world...Samsung is not going to worry about Apple. There is no comparison between the two phones. The iPhone can be compared to the. Alpha, zX compact, S5 Mini and LG S. The Plus with the z series, S 5 and HTC M8 etc...

Phones like the Galaxy S and the Galaxy Note have a lot more competition than the iPhones will. There are many more phones, many of which with very nice feature sets, that run Android. But if you want iOS, there's only one place to go; that's a big reason why iPhones have such big sales numbers compared to Samsung's phones, or any other phone manufacturer.

But really, what does it matter? If you're happy with a Galaxy Note, than get it. I don't see why there are so many threads on this site talking about iPhones, only to bash them, or complain about sales numbers. Get what you like, and other people will get what they like.

I, for one, find it easier to get excited now about birds that have already wowed reviewers and could be nearly be in my hand. It may be a different story when Samsung gives us a real Note 4, in our hand, to talk about.

I have noticed this but the fact of the matter is :

If I want to read about that phone, I'd go to iMore this forum should be about Samsung more specially the note 4.

What is the point of the question? The two situations are drastically different. The Note 4, by all accounts, is a modest upgrade over the still very capable and similarly sized Note 3. There will be plenty of Note 3 users who'll stick with it.... And people looking to get a new Android phone to replace their old one have a long list of options at various sizes and price levels to choose from. That being said, the Note 4 will still be a success.... all indications are that it will be a great device... awesome screen, fast, capable, you name it.

The difference is akin to dining at one of those massive casino buffet lines vs. standing in the chow line at the county lock-up.

Discussion is fine Cartman . There is no harm in it. This thread is in regards to iPhone sales and Note 4 sales ... so yes people will talk about the iPhone in the thread since it is technically on topic. As others have said we only have speculation on the Note 4. I for one am upset that Samsung is staying so silent about it ... I figure they would at least throw us a bone by now.

I am waiting for the Note 4 as well .. but in the meantime there isn't much to talk about. We all know the specs and stuff ... So other than that ... comparing it to the iPhone (especially the bigger one) is to be expected.

While you may not think they are comparable .. most do. Most are going to compare to the iPhone since it is one of the best selling phones and has always done well... so that is like the competition and the "phone to beat"... People will ALWAYS compare them .

The Note 4 will not do as well as the iPhone 6 in my opinion... The Note 4 only did well because of their larger screens (compared to the previous iPhones) but now that Apple just released a 5.5 inch screen, I foresee a lot of pre-Samsung users moving onto the Apple bandwagon.

The 6 Plus actually has a larger size profile than the Note 3 and 4. The Notes are a tad thicker, but due to the replaceable battery (I prefer).

The 6 Plus has some serious bezel to be taller, but have a smaller display. Wow.

Most android vendors have stopped reporting units sold.

It just goes to show that most people care more about being "cool" and having the latest fashion accessory than having a great phone.
