Apps being downloaded and cannot be stopped!

I have a weird issue here. I had some app updates today and so I pressed the Update All button and they started downloading. All the apps were on the Starting download status and weren't moving forward. Now in my status bar, apps are being downloaded and it says "Google Shopper, Weatherbug and 78 more" and the status bar below is is just the gray/black stripes. I cannot get rid of it. Market crashed a few times as I tried to investigate the issue. I uninstalled Market updates, unmounted and mounted my SD card, force stopped market, cleared data and crash, but I am still stuck. Anyone encounter this issue?

I have an HTC Incredible, 2.2, unrooted.
