Apps broken in 4.2

Kobo reader crashes after the update. Also, my screen started flickering. I turned off auto and adjusted and it seems OK now.

I'm having so many problems since this update.
Multiple apps crashing, tablet randomly rebooting itself, screen flicker with auto-brightness on or off, my volume booster no linger works and the speaker is just terrible.

Is it at all possible for me to go back to 4.1.2?

PicSpeed Wallpapers wallpaper changer stopped working. HBO Go vids stream audio only, no video after opening splash. Random app crashes and closures. Totally unimpressed with this update. WONKY crap. Thanks Google.

Update 11/19: HBO Go updated and working beautifully again. PicSpeed seems to be functioning normally without an update. FF Beta working fine.

I'm really disappointed Google Now doesn't work. I was about to leave it on, but I guess no more Google Now.

Not really broken, but with 4.2 Beach Buggy Blitz now has an annoying pause that was not there before.

Forgot to add, the Boat browser has sank.

Boat browser, smooth sailing on Jellybeans now.

Where is FF17.0? Cannot find it in Play Store. Please help !

SLo

Firefox 17 is currently in the play store as "Firefox beta". I think the non-beta Firefox will be upgraded to 17 with the Android 4.2 fixes very soon, as well.

Firefox with flash is totally broken. Read on XDA this morning that bugs have been files with Mozilla. Talk there, too, is that 4.2 is a pretty big code change from 4.2. Hence broken apps. Don't know much about that specifically. I'm no coder. Just passing along. Firefox is the only trouble I've encountered so far.

Ditto with Firefox Beta. So pissed. . .

I was perfectly happy with 4.1 and Firefox Beta opened everything I threw at it, cept NBA League Pass. Now it crashes almost instantly when ever I open a site with Flash. Would be great if I could go back to 4.1. Now I'll think a long time before letting Google update my OS again. . .

So far everything else works ok, and like others I do hate that first digit bold font on the clock. Plus I have a odd screen glitch when I wake the screen up, looks like a rectangle on the upper left of the screen which goes away after a second.

FC's when trying to watch live games on the NBA Game Time app in JB 4.2. Switched over to my Galaxy S3 running 4.1, and the League Pass games stream just fine.

(note based on other reading indicating Android 4.x needs sufficient free space in the user storage partition; not corroborated by any official documentation though!)

Try making sure you've got at least 3GB free space on your device (in my case, Nexus 7 16GB).

Wasn't sure which post you are referring to.
If you're referring to mine, I have 26 GB remaining.

Amazon App Store has been updated to address the log in issue.
It also been redesigned, and runs a lot smoother than before.

The "screen glitch" is just the lock-screen widget reminder (I guess that's what Google intended). If you swipe that rectangle left-to-right you can add additional widgets (calendar, gmail, etc) to your lock screen.
