Apps from SD card no longer show up

As the thread title says, I can no longer view or use my apps that are installed on my SD card. I can see the .asec files in the .android_secure folder if my phone is mounted to my computer. If I look at that folder with a file explorer on my phone, it is empty.

I have formatted the card and repopulated it with no change. I found something that said to delete some .tmp file in that .android_secure folder, but that file doesn't exist. I can see my photos and listen to the music. It is just the apps that aren't working. I am stumped.

Any ideas?

If you formatted the card then all the apps would be gone. You'll have to download them again. Right?

Sounds about right. ......if you formatted your SD card it's all over except the crying, oh and the reloading!

I think the OP understands that formatting a volume erases data, that's not the problem he's having.
