Apps loading slow, Play Store loads slow

I just got a Galaxy Tab S 8.4. I haven't installed many apps but some of the ones I do have (Facebook, Wikipedia e.g.) seem to load extremely slow. Also, when I go the Google Play Store, the apps you can download show up but the icons take an extremely long time to load. Chrome is working fine and I know my wifi connection is good (I have a Galaxy S5 that works without any issues). I have Android 4.4.2 on it. I haven't done much with it yet so I don't believe I have a virus. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Android Central! How does it behave on different wi-fi networks? Still the same?

I haven't tried it on any other networks other than my own. I will try it today and let you know.

Well I tried it on a different WiFi network (I even used my phone as a hotspot) and it seemed to work fine. So I got to thinking maybe it's my router. I rebooted my router and voila! .... it works fine on my home network.

Great! A soft reboot of the router often works wonders.
