Help with Routine - changing Sound Mode

I normally keep my phone on vibrate, especially during the day while working. However, I'm trying to create a routine for specific contacts that detects Sound Mode is vibrate, it should change notification volume, give a notification sound, then return to vibrate. However, it doesn't work. Here are my steps:

• IF (all conditions met)
  • Message received
    • List contacts
  • Sound Mode
    • Vibrate
• THEN
  • Sound Mode and Volume
    • List volume for each setting
  • Wait before next action
    • 1 second
  • Beep once
  • Wait before next action
    • 1 second
  • Sound Mode and Volume
    • Vibrate

I basically have do not distribute almost always on, and then within the do not distribute settings I allow (via use of starred/favourite contacts) only those to ring through. Vibrate or not is I think also settable within do not distribute.

Lemme look into that option. I prefer *some* notification (vibrate) but might be able to make this work.
