Apps not working when connected to wifi.

I have theSamsung 7 edge. Although it shows that it is connected to my home network, none of my apps will run on wifi. I receive all of my notifications when I turn my WiFi off. Other devices are able to connect to my home network. I have tried turning off and back on. I checked to make sure everything is up to date. Is anyone else having the same problem? Works fine on data. I have Verizon.
