Apps on phone or SD card?

I was installing netflix on my phone and was wondering, what would netflix run faster on, phone or SDcard?

I have a 16gb SDcard, class 4. What would apps run better on?

I'm gonna make the assumption that it would run better on phone. It'd be running from NAND with has a higher read/write speed... if my assumption isn't off base.

I have seen no difference in the speed and quality of running an app off a sd card or off of the internal memory.
