I've noticed some apps and the browser restart with the last page you were viewing when you last closed that app and not open to the apps homepage. Amazon app store, Market, browsers, etc. I like to start with a clean fresh homepage when I open an app. Is there a setting or something for this?

Opening up to porn, huh?

Do you have a homepage set?

Did you swipe out your window in your multitasking?

Lol....i often wonder when these threads about the last page opening up come up. Why would anyone care unless they were being routnely embarrased by their phone opening to porn. I understand how that could be socially awkward......go to show your girlfriend something cool on your phone and instead she gets asian teens......could certainly kill your night.

Well I am definately not into porn! It was just that after doing some searches in the Market for apps and then returning later I saw the last search I did instead of the Market's homescreen. However... I did discover after posting that questions that I can wipe it with the multitasking button and get rid of them. Problem solved. Thanks for the help.

Found a fix using nova launcher.
It allows a short cut to a bookmark (meaning set a bookmark to Google) plant it on your homescreen, edit the bookmark icon back to a browser icon (you may have to do some pc work to get the original icon) or just download one.

Now when you click on your browser icon you get your homepage. The only thing is if you go to your apps list to open your browser obviously it'll open to the last page.

I don't like reopening cause it's inefficient and uses data and battery.

Actually the opposite. It saves battery by not having to re-load all the stuff.

As long as the app is not actively doing something all it does is reside in memory.

But that's what the soft button to the very right does - shows you what's running so you can swipe off stuff. Some stuff I swipe off and some I leave on.
