Apps that autostart at bootup

I noticed my note 4 lags at startup and then it gets hot sometimes. So I looked at apps running and I noticed apps I don't even use like ATT Ready2Go and apps I haven't even used in a while running. How do I prevent these apps from auto starting? And can i stop these apps with no issues?

You can go into App Manager and disable them or go farther yet and root your phone and delete them.
