Hi,
I was wondering on the Thunderbolt are there any negatives to moving apps to sd?
Do they run slower or start up slower?
Any problem with updating app?

Thanks for your help :-)

Some game aren't recommended, and it usually breaks widgets. I usually just put all the stuff that is either not important and/or I don't use very often.

Don't really notice them being slower (but I only use it on stuff that doesn't matter anyway) and there aren't any updating issues that I've come across. You can always move something and if it give you issues or breaks your widget you can just move it back to the phone.

i've actually been unable to use some apps widgets because the apps were saved to the SD card...i moved them to the Phone and immediately the widgets popped up for placement in the list of widgets.

Any apps that have widgets that I use stay on the phone anything else I move to the SD card when I can.

Same as above. Apps that have widgets I use need to be left on the phone. All other apps that can be moved get moved to the SD card to save space. I haven't had any issues with any of the apps I've moved.

FYI - From the marketplace info. on apps to sd free.

If app uses any of the following features, it cannot be installed on the external storage. It's required by Android system.
App Widgets,
Services,
Input Method Engines,
Live Wallpapers,
Live Folders,
Alarm Services,
Account Managers,
Sync Adapters,
Device Administrators

App shortcuts will disappear from the home screen after you move apps to the SD card. It's the limitation of Android system.
