Apps update and move to device memory

Can anyone tell me why every time I do an update, it moves it back to device memory? I am tired of moving them back to the SD card. Thanks for the help.

Every time you do an "update", you uninstall the app without disturbing any data it has stored, then install the new version. Apps install to device memory by default.

My last Samsung G3 just updated the app on the SD card. So what you are telling me is that every time I have an update, I have to move it again? Hmmm

My GS5 started doing this a few months back, didnt do this before. My tab s3 is till working like before. Is this due to a play store update or phone update?
