Apps Won't Work on Honeycomb

I have been able to port over the .apk's for several of my apps from my Dinc.
The problem is, once installed on my NC with Honeycomb, once I click them, they force close without opening. Anyone else having this issue? If so, how do you fix it?

Apps I've experienced this with:
1. Root Explorer
2. Firefox
3. SlingPlayer
4. Rom Manager

I couldn't even install these:
1. Redbox
2. Twitter

Any help is much appreciated!

The current release of Honeycomb is based off of a preview SDK. It's not final code so much won't work for all kinds of reasons.

Devs are only going to put so much effort into stuff that isn't final.

That being said, earlier this afternoon the final SDK for Honeycomb was released...
I would imagine you'll start to see devs focusing more now on it because they are more comfortable that the code is final.

The honeycomb source is still not out yet. I wouldn't call it final.

Can someone please tell me any specific app that does work on the NC that I can download from the market? I've tried to download Pandora, Nook for Android, Google Books, & Angry Birds, but they all just get stuck on Starting Download and never actually get to loading. So is there an app that definitely works on the NC that I can try to download?

Also, I hooked up the NC Market app with the same gmail address as I use for my Incredible...will that make any difference in this problem? Should I create a new gmail address for the Nook? I know that if I go to the web version of the market, it does show that I can download to phone or whatever it thinks the NC is. I did see a message when I tried one program (can't remember which) that it wasn't compatible. It didn't say that for Pandora though, just said it would download, but then still gets stuck whether I did it through web or the market app. Thanks for any help or guidance.

Oh, and I'm running Honeycomb on the NC through microsd card. Market/gmail/etc. is on there too. Thanks.

Apps currently on and usable on my NC:

Angry Birds
Angry Birds Seasons
Dungeon Defenders
Root Explorer
Dropbox
DocsToGo

And all have been through the market. I rarely see any progress in the status bar in the market, only in the notification bar at the bottom of the screen.

Unfortunately, it's not showing any progress in the status bar in Market or the notification bar at the bottom of the screen. I was able to sideload Angry Birds Seasons through a website called pandaapps.com before I figured out how to get Market on the NC, but nothing Market wise is downloading. Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried to clear the market Cache and data and the framework data and reboot? That cleared the download problems for me.

I'm pretty much a noob for Android, so I would try those things you mentioned if you would be so kind to tell me how to do them. This is the last thing I need to get working on this preview Honeycomb edition to have the "tablet" I'd like for now until the fully functional Honeycomb comes out. Thanks for your help.

Well, actually figured out how to clear the cache, but it didn't give me the option the clear data even though there was some data in there. I'm not sure how to do the framework data and reboot though, so some guidance there would be great. Thanks. After clearing the cache, I tried to download google books app to test if just that would work...it didn't.

Ok, I was able to clear the Market cache but not data. There's like 128 kb in there without the option to clear data. I found the Google Services Framework I think you were talking about and cleared cache and data. For reboot, are you talking about a standard reboot (just turn it off), or is there something else I have to do (I've seen people write about holding power button and the N, but not sure if that's what you mean here). I cleared all I could for the two above items, turned it off & back on, and tried to download Google Books app as it is something new I've never had, and it still got stuck at the Starting Download with no movement beyond that under market or the progress notification on the bottom of the screen. Not sure what else to do. Thanks again for your suggestions. Hopefully you might have a few more. Thanks.

Can I ask if you have the sdcard image on your nook or if you rooted it to the internal memory. If it's a card what size, class and brand is it. I burned 3 images to sandisc and pny class four cards with no problems. I burned one to a class 4 16 gb Kingston. Burned fine but it was incredibly slow and causing errors when trying to open programs because of timeouts I believe, and the market did the same thing you are having happen. Maybe try a 4gb class four sandisc card (they are cheap enough to troubleshoot with) and see if the card is the problem.

Angry Birds RIO and IMDB don't work for me.
I think there were some others that didn't work but I forgot.

Angry Birds Seasons crashes if I pull up the menu (e.g. to restart a level) - very annoying.

FB reader works sometimes, but often gets stuck.
Evernote works
Dropbox works
Winamp works
Swype's keyboard works, but not swyping because it can't register over wi fi :-(
A Better keyboard 7 or 8 crashes trying to enable it :-((
Gmail, Google Contacts, and Google Calendar work and sync
Maps works
Squeeze Commander works
Meebo IM works
Nook for Android mostly works. It crashes if you hit the left arrow while reading a book
Adobe Reader works
Blocked Stone works
The Agenda widget works
MyBackup Pro works
WiFinder works
WiFi Analyzer works

I especially recommend NookColorUMS, which is the only way I can get the partitions mounted on my Mac or PC.
