Aquamail and stock Samsung mail client

So I just installed Aquamail because the stock Samsung client is just horribly slow and now both clients are delivering my mail. How can I stop this?

Delete your email accounts from the stock app

Nope, tried that already, doesn't work. I lose all my contacts.

The solution turned out to be fairly simple. I just had to disable syncing for the Samsung client and voila!
