archive not available

Any idea why, in OL for Android when I am view some messages, the option to archive is grayed out? It only does it on some, not all messages. And I am free to swipe to archive from the inbox message list.

I have OL to the archive all messages to my Gmail archive folder.

What's the difference between the emails that will archive and the ones that won't? Spam? Some common address? Are you shown as the sender? You have to give us more than "it doesn't work". (That email you're showing looks as if it should have gotten flagged as spam or junk - which you shouldn't be able to archive.)

And if you're using a GMail address, why do you have it in an Outlook app?

That's a great question and one that I have not encountered. Have you tried contact support? Hit the hamburger menu and select contact support. It will open a chat with support.
