Are media smoking crack?

People want tiny bezels until they crack their screen or hardware gets removed.

Example: Cry for smaller top bezel...and manufacturer removes ff camera. Then it's an issue about not being able to take a selfie.

OMG I need 99.99% screen to body ratio. Buys phone, drops it from waist height on carpet, and goes on a tear about build quality.

The war on bezels was fine until last year. Bezels like on the S9, notches like on the 6T, A50 and Mate/P 20 Pros and an 18/19:9 ratio are great and good enough for me.

I don’t need or want a pop up camera, under-display camera or a dual display phone if it means a more fragile phone with inferior cameras/battery etc.

Well Google's design team simply aren't making designs that are nearly as good as the competition's. Apple, Samsung, Huawei, OnePlus - all have nicer designs for their phones.

Basically, if Google want to charge $800+ for their phones, the expectation is that its first class in every respect - including physical design.

If you're happy with Google's designs, then great! Just ignore the articles that talk about the Pixel 4's large top bezel.

Design? There all rectangles... LOL

From the first iphone till now,

100% of phones I see have a case on them and I couldn't tell one from the other. It reminds me of the Emperors new clothes....

The notch was awful, I am happy with bezels but make them count don't just have bezels to be lazy

I just removed the notch straight away. Looks fine without.
