Are there any high-end Android phones that have 16:9 screen format ?

They all seem to have shifted to 18:9 so split screen can be used. I couldn't find one current device on 16:9

I totally agree.
Smartphone makers are not consulting actual users, unfortunately.
Perhaps this web site can write an article about the issue and create a list of 16:9 phones

Pulled an old 16.9 out of the drawer today and I have to agree, it's a much better experience.

Never mind what "WE" want, we will only get what "THEY" tell us we need.

Democracy?

As a photographer, I have never cared for the 16:9 format. The 18:9 (2:1) format is much better.
At a quick glance, I have a hard time believing that anyone could tell the difference in the hardware look and feel.

I thought it was idiotic to move away from 16:9 at first but I'm never going back. These new display ratios are far better for phone usage. We hold our phones vertically, scroll vertically, apps run better in split screen, and the keyboard takes up less screen real estate.

Only reason to return to 16:9 is to match most video and making a phone better for watching videos isn't worth making it worse for literally everything else.

Productivity? What does a cell phone "produce"?

My phone is 21:9 and it works fine for me. I have short, wide hands with stubby arthritic fingers and I can hold it quite well.

It is for me.
