Are there any other dual-core phones coming to Sprint?

Not every Epic had GPS issues ... And there is plenty of Roms that work pretty good.. Just like all roms . They take time and testing to get them working... When the EVO came out there wasn't massive roms working perfectly the next day you got your phone... But i do agree with you Sammy did disapoint alot of there users with there 2.2 delay but 2.3 might be around the corner so they are trying to make good....

With todays news on Sammy's new 2ghz duel core by the end of this (maybe) the GSII might be past by anyway.... Sprint is stepping it up with support and highend phone choice... This summer will be a interesting one for sure...

Let me put it to you this way I work on Sprint phones everyday. I owed the Evo the day it came out then I switched to the Epic like 2 months ago... I love it BUT the GPS is one of the biggest problems with that phone, this is where I want to play my cards right because HTC already announced the EVO 3D, but there is not announcement of a new Samsung Device, and im due in the begging of June for an upgrade. Samsung did this to me last year I bought the Evo day it came out 30 days later they announce Epic and doesn't get released till August.... I was pretty pissed off. I still love the Evo there are ups and downs with both phone. Lets keep our fingers crossed for more Dual Core phones ; )

Glad to hear that I am not the only one turned off by the 3D aspects of this phone.

Call me picky, but I won't buy a phone that is focused this much on 3D...and the dual cameras on the back won't let you (or anyone else) forget it. It looks gimmicky and it turns me off.

So...that leaves me wondering where to go from my launch day Pre minus. I just bought my daughter an Epic 4G. She wanted a physical keyboard and swype...and she loves it. The thing flies and renders web pages about ten times faster than my Pre...and my Pre is overclocked to 1GHz.

That said, I'm not enthusiastic about buying year-old technology for my next phone. Don't get me wrong...I can't hear the phrase "future proof" without chuckling, but I would like dual core if I could get it. Why? Well, because I am a geek. ;)

So since I won't be buying the Evo 3D, I'm not sure what my options are for Sprint. Seems like we are *many* months away from seeing a Galaxy S2 handset on Sprint...so my option is get that Epic or Perhaps the new Nexus S 4G...but that is actually less capable than the Epic in many ways...and only seems to offer a slimmer and more attractive package with a pure Google advantage and an NFC chip of questionable near-term value...at the expense of a keyboard, LED, and SD card.

Hmm...well, I guess I'll check out that Nexus on May 8th and see how it grabs me...and try to hold out for a GS2 if I can...but there is no way that I am getting the E3D. I can't believe that something so gimmicky is HTC's first dual core option on Sprint.

cheers,
Scuba
