I have seen some threads stating some have Wi-Fi issues .. and some don't.

Is this true? I just want to get the scoop because I am thinking of getting this phone .. or well .. i REALLY want it but I must pay full price so just curious if there is issues ... and are they being fixed?

Thx in advance :).

32GB Blue here, and I use WiFi constantly at different locations, and I have no issues whatsoever. Battery life seems solid with it, and connection is easy and consistent. I see no issues in this area. I wouldn't let it hold you back on the phone.

Thanks for the replies guys :)

I can say I have dropped wifi on and off all day every day. It will drop and reconnect randomly on any and all access points. WiFi also isn't as strong as on some other devices I have but is on par with my last couple Samsungs, an Epic Touch and the original Epic.

The only issue I have at this time with the WiFi is that it turns ON by itself. It can be just sitting on my desk "asleep" and when I check any notifications, etc, I find that the WiFi has turned itself back on.
I just got my phone yesterday, and after using it and running the battery down, I charged it fully. Then I had it set next to my bed overnight, unplugged. While it hadn't discharged all that much overnight, I did see that for the majority of the night my WiFi was on
WTF?!? Why is it doing that? What if I am NOT in an area where WiFi is available? What if I don't WANT it ON, yet? I will be setting up WiFi at my house, but I have no need for WiFi to be turned needlessly.
Any help of THAT issue would be greatly appreciated. I do not want to have to constantly go in and see if my WiFi is on al the time.

I got mine yesterday and this is sprint attempting to have you use wifi some more. You can turn it off :)

Go to system settings > more settings > mobile networks > automatic connections and turn off the sprint auto connect. :)

P. S. If anyone is wondering my wifi is great on the s3 :D
