Are we going to see an S8 edge?

Wondering if anyone out there has thoughts on this? Wondering if we're going to see an S8 'edge' variant this year. The latest has an S8 and S8 'Plus', but not sure I've seen any edge action yet.

Since the S7 edge is popular, it seems as though the S8 will come in two variants, and both will have edge screens. The only difference will be size.

I hope the edges are subtle like the edges on the Note7.

If they do make one, hopefully its the bigger screen. Id get that one. Only reason i went with the 7 edge over the 7.

I hope Samsung realizes the main reason the s7 edge was popular is because it had a significantly higher capacity battery compared to the s7 (and most of the other flagships at the time of its release).

I'm pretty sure that wasn't the main reason for most consumers. Most Samsung customers have literally no idea what size battery either phone has.

Right. People need to stop equating what us nerds think, to mostly uninformed consumers. Let's face it, most of the public buys edge phones because it's Samsung and they look cool.

When people get a load of those huge screens on the S8, not much else will matter...except maybe that they don't ignite this time.

It certainly was the reason I got the S7E over the S7. But I'm a big honkin' nerd..

As @D13H4RD2L1V3 and @Aquila said, i think we getting an edge screen on both models this year. I presume that the S7 Edge outsold the standard variant by a big margin so Samsung is putting the edge screen on both versions now. Which could be a good idea but I'm sure some will not like it. But they could get a Galaxy A7 which is still a great device.

Personally i do think the edge screen looks cool. Gives a nice 'infinity' display look. When I'm walking around the shops, i mostly see the edge variant. Maybe its because the screen size is bigger?

Bottom line, I'm looking forward to the launch date, its looking great so far.
