Don't forget the top 5% throttle. And a huge amount of usage may throw up red flags.

With millions of Verizon customers hitting the data network, you'd have to work hard to reach that.

Of course, you'll have a better chance of standing out at first with so few LTE devices out there.

I'm starting to lean towards just paying the $20 bucks a month and being done with it. Still on the fence about rooting. My TB is running so smooth and fast I hate to mess with that.

I rooted my N1 and had a blast but the thing got buggier and buggier as time went on. I just hate to mess with something that ain't broke. Sure I could just root and not flash ROMs but in reality that will never happen..I'll eventually start flashing away. :D

holy crap I completely forgot about hotspot. I don't really have a use for it. definitely saving my money.

I had it on my Incredible and found it useful. Occasionally I'd host someone's iPhone when they had no signal (that was lovely indeed...), and I deliberately only got a wifi iPad 2 knowing I'd always have this option. The 2gb limit lasts longer than I thought it would. (Though I do avoid streaming video when on the hotspot.)

I will only sign up when we take long road trips and the wife or kid wants on the iPad. I talked to my business rep and he said I can sign up for it and cancel it as many times as I want to as often as I want to. So i could sign up for it for a 7 day vacation and then cancel it and only pay for the 7 days of usage.
