So just because someone else doesn't feel the same they're drinking the Kool aid? Most of the issues people seem to have are the design and hardware choices Google's made. Design is subjective, and as for hardware, most of the things people covet on other OEM's devices I don't use. I don't begrudge people for choosing what works best for them, it'd be nice if that was reciprocated. But this being the internet I know that won't happen. I use what works best for me, not for you or anyone else. If I did that, then I would be a Kool aid drinking fanboy.
The only time I really accuse people of being blind fanatics is when they excuse issues with devices. The Pixel line has had it's share, but I didn't experience most of them personally. None of the ones I experienced were bad enough it made me want to switch.
I've owned phones from HTC, Samsung, Moto, and Google. My worst experience was with Samsung, but that doesn't mean I think everyone who buys them are drinking the Kool aid, just that I've never had any luck with Samsung devices whether phones, Blu-ray players, TVs, or washers. Now the ones who accused me of trying to sully Samsung's reputation when I was seeking help to resolve the issues I had with my Samsung products were. I didn't tell anyone having issues with the Pixels that they weren't having the issues they were having. I said the issues may not have been as widespread as they made them out to be, but that's not ignoring them altogether. There's a difference.
