it's roughly $839 worth of WON in Korea at launch for 64 GB version. The $799 is my guess based on that value. I'd fully expect it to be on sale for $599 or better within the first month or two.

Yea based on past pattern I will wait till LG discounts it.

I think I'm probably going to end up going with the Pixel 2. But if it looks super lackluster, I'll go with the V30.

I may. Current phone is now 3 years old. Still works, but battery life is starting to slip and it's acting a bit wonky of late. I might try to hold out for a month post-release to see how it does in the wild and if there will be any deals. If not the V30, nothing else is grabbing my interest.

I'm most likely going to wait until the price drops a bit. Look at what happened with the G6, it dropped to $500 real quick with BOGO deals at T-Mo. I imagine it won't do too well with the Note 8 being out, iPhone 8 preorders now, iPhone X coming November 3rd, Pixel 2 coming.

I'm in the US on Verizon. I always keep my phones for 2 years. I've been using Motorola's for the last 4 years. (Droid Maxx and Turbo 2; loved those batteries) I did have an LG Touch before that, and swore I'd never buy another LG. My contract is up this month and last week I bought my wife a G6 which I like. I want expandable memory and a headphone jack. I'm not too concerned with SW or security updates. I've looked at the Samsung's, but they don't excite me. I'll be preordering the V30 because it ticks all the boxes for me.
