Are you using a Launcher?

Been using Niagara launcher for a few years now. Prior to that I was using Nova. Since I've gotten this phone I've decided to give One UI a spin. I've stuck with it but I do miss Niagara. I find apps so much quicker on Niagara and I also miss how easy it was to change my icons especially paired with Icon Park Studio. For now I will keep on using One UI.

Until getting the S25U, I was a loyal Nova Prime user since my Note 3 days. In the last week I just switched to One UI. I have to admit I am loving it. In conjunction with Good Lock, it is a joy to use. I am blown away by the DIY Home screen feature.

If so, what is one of the reasons?

I love my Niagara and Nova launcher. One UI has come a long way, if it allowed me to change the Icons, I have no problems sticking with it.

Niagara Launcher with four icon packs.
stock one ui launcher allows to change every icon pack from google play store via goodlock module called ThemePark, section Icons

I actually didn't read OP's post carefully

Coming from Nova, I can honestly say that ThemePark is three to four times better when it comes to applying icon packs than 3rd-party launchers. It is truly next level. Edge panel icons, notification icons, sharing menu icons, and watch notifications are all themed by ThemePark.

I have been using Samsung's launcher, but today I went back to Nova. Samsung always has to do dumb things. I want my home screen to go in landscape mode, the only way I see to do that is change the home screen in settings to where the app pages you have to scroll to the left and thev apps are all there. Why does Samsung do such dumb things.

If I'm missing something let me know, but it is what it is.

That's not true, the rotating landscape works perfectly fine without having all apps on the home screen. I just tested it and it works without having to change the home screen setting to have all apps. Rotating home screen to landscape shouldn't matter whether you have all apps on home screen or use a traditional app drawer.

See screen shot below.

Then what am I doing wrong? As you can see when I have home and app screen selected the rotate screen is greyed out, home only and I can select rotate

That's so weird lol

The only other thing I can think of is, I have installed good lock and home up. Not sure if that's changed anything.

Maybe someone who doesn't have good lock and home up can check if it's happening to them as well.

I have good lock also. I thought maybe I did something in there but have found it yet. Thanks for responding, I was hoping to get a answer.

Well since I seen your was working I decided to dig into good lock more. In home up with that setting turned on landscape doesn't work in as discussed above, when I turn it off landscape works. That's the culprit

I'm going to chime in on this matter a little bit

Home screen rotation enabled would need screen rotation on in the pull down notifications panel to rotate. If you have it off you would have to manually use the rotate button that shows up in the orientation u have the screen.

Make sure that is enabled by long pressing auto rotate in the pull down notifications panel, see my screenshot

That was a good thought, but doesn't matter. If that DIY Beta option is turned on in home up thru good lock it locks out screen rotation on home page.

I don't know if it's a oversight from Samsung since it's beta, but you can't have both.

Ahh ok ..in Good lock that's turned off

I assume your talking the DYI turned off in good lock. Yes when I turn that off screen rotate works. I had it on when it didn't work.

I don't know why you baby use screen rotate when that's on when you use the home page and app page in home settings.
