That's very weird. I'd be worried if my GPS was that far off.
Maybe try to calibrate the GPS while in Maps. Open maps, tap the blue dot that indicates your location, a new screen will open with options, on the bottom left side is an option to calibrate to your current location. For kicks, I opened Google Maps to see where the "dot" is (WiFi is on). It's on the edge of my property & my neighbor... so 30-50 feet from where the phone really is.
I'm having a trusted places issue & have spent portions of the day yesterday DM'ing @SamsungSupport. After a series of troubleshooting 101 steps their suggestion is for me to put the phone into Safe Mode & see if the problem happens. I will try Safe Mode some time this weekend.

^ This.
I used iris scan just the first day when I was setting most of the stuff up & transferring from my N5, then deleted the scan I saved. Back to PIN after that.
I think I posted this on another topic, but a family member's ex used his fingerprints while he was sleeping to read his texts. Also, law enforcement can technically hold the phone to your face/eyes/finger(s) to gain access. Can't make you "remember" a PIN or password!

Your welcome, I hope it helps. Mine is always within a foot or so of my location. Maybe this is why people sometimes have issues with the Smart Lock location feature.Awesome tip thank you.
I wear glasses and it works for me 99.5 percent of the time. Use FPS if it doesn't but it's rare.I tried the Iris scanner but not for me because I wear glasses for most of the time. Since it won't pick my eyes up at night I'll stick the the FPS and pin code.
Me too... glad to have it back since losing my Note 7! Much better than damned fingerprints, especially with the sensor positioning on this beast!the iris scanner 98% of the time it's just works an for direct sun light I use the finger scanner
