Are Z3 models suitable for the UK?

Z3 models suitable for the UK

I know there are a few similar questions, but I'm having trouble working this out for sure. I've found the D6603 for sale on one website for £529.99, and the D6653 for sale on another website for £447.99. I obviously want the cheaper one, but I do want it to work on the UK THREE network preferably capable of supporting its 4G.

According to Wikipedia, THREE uses bands 800 (20) and 1800 (3). The different models support the following:.... Does anyone know if the D6653 will be okay?

LTE 700/800/850/900/1700/1800/1900/2100/2600 (1/2/3/4/5/7/8/13/17/20)

D6643
LTE 700/800/850/900/1700/1800/1900/2100/2600 (1/2/3/4/5/7/8/17/20)

Edit sorry read wrong.

But nonetheless as long as it supports Bands 3 and 20 it should work.
Also If your buying from UK based sites, you shouldn't have a problem with bands they should work on all UK networks.

Well that's why I'm confused. Models D6603 and D6643 say they support multiple bands including 3 and 20, but model D6653 does not say it supports any bands at all! I'm sure something is inferred here - like it means that ALL bands are supported if they're not listed specifically.

Here is a link to the Z3 White Paper on the Sony web site that lists all the frequencies and bands for each model including the D6653. If I am reading the document correctly, the D6653 supports 1800 (band 3) so you should be good to go.

Thanks LuvMusic. I'd seen your link to that document in Smooth4Lyfe's thread, but what was also troubling me from that was whether the lack of 800MHz support on the D6653 was going to prove a problem since THREE in the UK uses both 800 and 1800 MHz.

Anyway, 4G's not my only reason for wanting the Z3, and the responses here have given me confidence there's a reasonable chance it'll be okay, so I've ordered the handset version D6653.

I've just ordered a D6653 model too as it was cheaper. Can you confirm if it works on Three UK 3G & 4G? Thanks.
