Aria can't sideload apps

Yes I read about that yesterday and I installed HTC Sync ver. 2.0.33 and it supposedly recognized my phone and asked me to name it but after that it keeps saying disconnected like if my phone was not connected to the computer.

Also I read here that another user tried it and all he could do was sync his outlook contacts and whatnot. The app looks different from the one in the link from engadget.

Basically what I want sideloading for is to get some apps that are not on the market like swype.

I wish there was an easier way haha. I heard that rooting might let me sideload but then I have never rooted a phone and dont really know what other things I gain by rooting it.

When did you download that version? My version says 3.0.5372. I haven't gotten around to installing it yet, so I don't know if it will do what it is supposed to do or not. I downloaded my version Sunday afternoon. If you downloaded your version after that, maybe they switched it back already?

I downloaded it yesterday, and redownloaded it today

Yes apparently they have switched back

Wish there was a way to get the old .exe and install it
