Arnova 9 g2

I have an update.img to update firmware on my Arnova 9 G2.

When I put it on my tablet it instructs that it is no applicable or is incorrect.

What am I doing wrong here?

Can anyone assist me please.

I think donut not sure when told "root" where exactly that is.

The root directory is the highest directory (i.e., it has no parent directory).

And it still tells you it's not applicable? Is it a .zip file or an .img file? If it's a .zip, try extracting the .img file first on your computer, and copy that to the tablet's root directory.
