I am looking at this as well. I changed from Dalvik to Art and the apps needed to update each time I booted. Couldn't see too much improvement in speed though, so went back to Dalvik. Is the apps updating normal? (on each boot) - seems very odd.

Well I only have 11 apps that has to reload whenever I reboot

It seems a little bit smoother over all but not much. And I get great battery life. But I was getting great battery life before.
