Assistance With Upgrading CM7 Builds

I have CM7 &.1.1 RC1 on my Nook. I saw these instructions on upgrading build.
Two questions:
When says put in first partition-where on the SD card is that?
Also put zip file in. Just download the nightly build and copy that zip file on to the card? Is ther ay order to put it on the card?

"How to update to a new build:
put the new build you want to try on the first partition. (the name must be update-cm-*.zip or cm_encore_full*.zip or just update-*.zip)
Boot from the SDcard in the recovery mode (see above) and the new snapshot would be installed.
The partition layout would be preserved, filesystems are NOT reformatted, so your data should be safe."

Take your SD card out of the nook and stick it in your computer. The only partition windows will recognize will be the boot partition as windows only sees the first partition on the sd card. Drag the zip over to it and put it in. Then boot into recovery and then reboot out of recovery.
