assisting light not turning on?

For some reason my assistive light won't turn on. Any ideas?

Must have been new phone bug or something. I restarted my phone and the erased the widget. Then replaced the same widget back to the home screen and it worked.

I was having the same problem and took my phone in to Verizon and they flashed the phone and now it's working.

I still have the same problem. I first noticed it when the camera flash didn't work. Used assistive light to confirm it. It's intermittent and the battery is not run down when it happens. Restarting or powering down Note 3 will get the flash to work but is very irritating when taking a picture. Verizon store reset phone but that worked for a few days. They replaced phone and it's doing the same thing again. Sounds like a bug in the phone or OS. Anyone else having this problem or know a fix. Seems strange that it happens on 2 brand new phones.
