Asus bluetooth cycle: Connects, drops, reconnects

Many thanks for reading my message. I have the Sennheiser True Wireless 2 in-earphones. When connecting to my Chromebook (Asus Flip C434) the headphone enters an infinite cycle of connecting, powering off, powering and connecting again.

When testing other bluetooth headsets (Fitbit and Sony for example) I did not have these problems and when watching movies, place phone calls or listened to music, the connection was stable.

I have reset the Chromebook and earphones and check that both are updated to the latest version. Anyone else has the same experience, any advice?

Thanks

Thank you for referring to the forum. Funnily enough (or not!), I connected the Asus c434 to my Philips TV using a USB-C cable with power distribution. The same problem happened. The TV did not accept the hdmi signal and the sound kept switching between Chromebook and TV..

Welcome to Android Central! One of the few weaknesses with Chromebooks that I've encountered is with the Bluetooth stack. I've had issues with Bluetooth intermittently disconnecting and reconnecting with BT speakers, but oddly not with BT headphones. I suspect this may be the root of your problem, but from what I've seen on the web, there aren't any good fixes for it yet.
