ASUS bootloader unlock problem

I've had it with my Asus TF700T. It is unbelievably slow!! So I decided to install a custom rom. I'm following these instructions:

I've tried to install and run the ASUS bootloader unlock tool. However, during the process, the app asks to confirm my google account by asking for my password. But, it won't accept it. It just reloads the same window asking to confirm the password. I can log into google with that password on my PC so I know it's correct.

I know I've changed the password since I originally set up the ASUS, and maybe it wanted the old password, which I didn't remember. So, I did a factory reset (Power button/Volume down combination) and wiped the tablet. Then, I set it up again and used my google user and password - that work on my PC. Still no go.

Exactly what password is it looking for?

Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Has this tablet always been yours, or did you get it used from someone else? What Android version is it running? If it's Lollipop or above, this sounds like Factory Reset Protection, which will prompt you for the previously associated Google account and password after a factory reset, if the Google account wasn't properly removed before the reset.
