Asus Zenfone 2 distorted sound

so just last night i was using my headphones and the sound went all weird signing and talking was hard to understand and every sound was off from what it should be or wouldn't even be there then i tried some earphones and it worked well then got myself a new pair of headphones today and the issue is still there and i have no idea what's causing the issue.

Try restarting or reseting your phone it could be a driver issue. Though if not its going to be hardware and as you tested with different sets of headphones its not your headphones. That leaves you with a hardware issue being in the phone.
