AT&T and Google Navigation

I've been in a cast for the last few months so I haven't had a chance to really go anywhere. However today I went into my addressbook and tried clicking on an address to see if it would start navigation with the new Google Maps and it does absolutely nothing. I touch the address and it just sits there, no error or anything.

Does anyone else have this issue? If I'm the only one then I might well just factory flash my phone and see if that fixes it.

Ok apparently it's because the new Google Maps doesn't seem to advertise itself as a Navigation option for me. If anyone clicks on an address in your addressbook does it give you the option to navigate with Google Maps?

Same thing happened to me yesterday. However, I have Waze also installed and when I click an address...Waze immediately opens for navigation. Before the Google Maps latest update, I would always receive a pop-up to select either Maps or Waze (just once or always). Would also ask about at&t nav but i disabled it right when I got the One...lol

So just for the heck of it...I uninstalled Waze..restarted the ph and tried again and nothing...Maps does not open.

Another other thing I noticed with my One....the Navigation App is no longer installed since the GMaps update. Not the end of the world because you can just open Maps and touch the arrows in the search bar and enter the info. But, I have read that some phones still have the Navigation part of Maps even after the update..why not mine?? I have searched all over the ph. Funny thing is, my colleague at work has the S4...has the latest Maps version and has the Navigation App...weird.
