I am currently on AT&T contract with a galaxy note. I have ordered the gsm galaxy nexus and was wondering if AT&T would change my data plan since the note was 4g lte and the nexus is not. I am currently on 3gb for $30.

No the 3gb plan is still an active one. Only if it was a grandfathered plan would that be an issue, but even so, if it was grandfathered you would still be able to keep it regardless.

Thanks. I would rather pay 30'for 3 gb than 25 for 2gb.

True, but the only real thing that the 2gb plan had over the 3gb plan was the 2gb plan could get discounted if you had an employee discount on your account. The 3gb does not.

Yea so you are not getting that discount on your data plan then.

I've heard some people have had issues with their LTE provisioned SIMs to work in HSPA+ only phones like the Nexus. One example is Phil from the site...you may have to go into a store and get a new SIM if you do end up running into problems.

But regardless, your data plan should not be affected.

Thanks. Will keep that in mind.

The LTE micro-SIM from my Lumia 900 works fine in the GNexus.

i slipped my LTE sim from my old Lumia 900 into the gnex and have had no issues.

Slipped my galaxy note AT&T sim into the nexus and it works great. Very pretty phone, slim and sleek.

I just used my upgrade to purchase the Galaxy S III today, which has LTE and a micro sim. I took out the micro sim and used an adapter to put it back in the galaxy nexus. Works 100%. Confirmed through AT&T CS that I'm on an LTE data plan and still have my unlimited data.

How is the screen on that phone?

From my 5 minutes of having it on, I could tell the screen was much better. The whites didn't have those gray lines sometimes seen on my gnex. There was no visible ghosting.
I can see individual pixels easier than the gnex(obviously since it has a bigger screen with the same resolution). If the pixelation doesn't bother you on the gnex, it will surely not bother you on the gs3.

I plan on selling the gs3 though since I prefer the nexus line. Saving the profits to buy the next nexus phone.

I didn't want to start a new thread since my question relates to this topic so hopefully someone can help.

Currently I have an unlimited iPhone data plan using a 4S on AT&T. I ordered the GSM Galaxy Nexus from the Google play store yesterday. What unlimited data plan is available for the Nexus on AT&T? Or can I just keep using the same data plan as I am with my 4S?

Thanks in advance. :)

I have an unlimited plan as well and it's has been working since switching to an unlocked GN. You should be fine. Enjoy!

Yep - just plug your SIM card in the new phone, no problem.

Thanks, I'll have to use my adapter for it because I currently have a 4S. The adapter should be fine because I was using it with a T-Mobile prepaid sim in my old Moto RAZR.

I just ordered a galaxy nexus from the play store last night. I have an iPhone 4 with grandfathered unlimited data plan. I asked an att employee if I got a new unlocked phone if I would keep my unlimited data plan. She said everything I have on my plan would stay the same but that I would need a new sim card. But I'm reading on here that I can just put the sim from my ip4 into the nexus and should have no problem. Do I have it right?
