AT&T - DirecTV Streams Data Free

Wasn't DirecTV supposed to let you have 'unlimited' data before?

They have a plan that if you have DirecTV you can get unlimited data through AT&T. If you chose not to do that and still have a metered plan this data will be exempt from it.
 
Horrible for net neutrality.

I agree. That is why I didn't like the T-Mobile thing the first time they even mentioned it for music. It just opens the flood gates for this kind of stuff.

If you have unlimited data it doesn't count toward the 22GB non potental throttle. But if you are over 22GB of regular data and on a congested tower you will be throttled even when using the Directv app.
