New strategy is to try to get the upgrade eligibility restored to the line and refuse delivery of the phone if it ships. It's sounding promising but I've had my hopes dashed plenty of times already...
Looks like this might be the way! The ordering team was able to reset my upgrade eligibility which I verified online. I'll be stopping by the store on the way home to see if it will work on their end. Good luck to everyone else!
How did you get them to do it? Everyone I've talked to today has said there's no way.
