AT&T LG G3 update (2/10/15) LOLLIPOP!

I'm getting use to if now. Hadn't messed with do not disturb much been working so no play time. I do hate that my weather is always on my lock screen notification cause it shows the temp at the top of the screen. wish I could fix that. I agree with the link u posted lg screwed it up. I think I'd like it more if I could actually expand the notifications and also switch between them there are some notifications I wanna keep to check out later or something and I can't do that and get to my other notifications. Other than that lollipop is great very smooth and battery life is way better. Is ART already enabled?

Anyone having problems with instagram? I notice after I take a picture it shows up all out of focus. Regular camera works fine though.

I'm kinda glad Rogers hasn't pushed this update out yet, lol. Sounds like a little more work is needed. Would like to hear more from the people that aren't having any issues though... Who's enjoying the update? Any features to call out?

With every update there are pros and cons.. Battery life seems like its been hindered a little, But the device does seem to sleep incredibly well, It legit flatlines which is great. I hate the Lockscreen interface, I was hoping to get the full "lollipop" lockscreen. No user icon to switch to guest mode. The phone lasted well over a day on kit kat, Now I'm getting about 8-10 hours of medium use. (Its about close to dead by 4-5pm.. off the charger at 8am)

I am also having a problem with Google Now. It responds from any screen but never completes the request.

Update:
It just hit me. I went to the Google app in settings and uninstalled updates. Then installed the update in the Play Store. Set up the settings in Google Search and all is working for me now.

I imagine those who aren't experiencing issues are busy using and enjoying their phones rather than sitting on the AC forums grousing, which is generally the case. If you browse the forums (for any device, not just the G3) it always looks like the sky is falling if you just go by what most people are posting when the actual number of members here is in reality just a tiny fraction of overall ownership of which the great majority are probably not having problems. That's just the nature of places like this - people are often quick to complain but slow to praise.

I thought I was seeing huge drops in battery % during the first hour or so of using the phone each morning, especially right after the update. Over the weekend I didn't put it on a charger at all during the day (which I usually do whenever I see an open charger or am in the car) and both days the phone lasted ALL day. Saturday I was lighter on the phone in terms of usage, but Sunday I was using it more. On Saturday it went well over 20+ hours and had more to go, a lot more (like 45%). Sunday it was off the charger at 9am and not back on until about 1am, when it had 30% left.

And yes, it seems to sleep well (ie, doesn't lose any power while sleeping; we should all sleep so soundly LOL)

As reported elsewhere, I had to move ALL apps off of the SD card to stop the constant unmounting of the card by the phone.

I did not do a factory reset, and really hope not to.

I'm on sprint and rumor is we are going to get the update this week. My biggest complaint with KK has been that I can't move files like video or pictures from the internal storage to the external storage on the phone. I have to plug it into a computer to do it and it's got me really close to rooting before the update.

Has anyone noticed if this is fixed in LP?

As others have reported since updating to lollipop my phone sleeps incredibly well. No battery loss reported overnight. And usage during the day has increased markedly as well although to be fair I was having a problem with android draining the battery rather quickly with KitKat. Now I am getting on screen time of five hours or more off a battery charge easily.

Honestly other than that I really don't see that much difference between the two operating systems. For all the hype it seems much more evolutionary than revolutionary.

This might be a stupid question, but how can you tell you SD card is unmounting itself?

A few ways: there's a pop-up error message that would come up every time the card mounted and unmounted. Also, I have some photo albums stored on the SD card so when you go into Gallery they are not there if card is unmounted. Oh, and when i had Apps on the SD, the icon for those would change to a Droid box with a SD card pic on it. That all stopped now.

Thank you! How did you get it to stop? The only reason I ask is because randomly my camera asked if it wanted me to store photos on the SD vs Internal Storage. I was wondering if that meant it became unmounted.

Anyone getting a freezes? After update, my phone sometime gets stuck with a black screen and I have to restart the phone. Anyone?

I was getting the unmounting/mounting issue constantly as well after my upgrade. I was having some other issues, so I ended up doing a factory reset and have not once encountered the SD card issue since.
