AT&T NEXT 12, 18, and now 24?!?!

NEXT is a huge ripoff, I know this from experience. You're basically leasing a phone for the same price as it would cost to buy unlocked, but over a extended period of time. But with an unlocked phone you can upgrade whenever you want and keep your old phone too.

Right, but interest free for those who don't have $400 to $500 to pay up front. You also have the option to pay off the phone early, keep it and be done. It's just a different way to pay.

No it isn't ...I am using Verizon edge and with 10gb plan I have a droid turbo for about $3 dollars less then what I would be paying if I paid for a 2 year contract. Going for a note 4 now and is about $5 more but oh well I am not paying for Jr upfront and if I want to upgrade in about 17-20 months I can compared to 24 months with a contract. There is no interest so its basically paying off a full price phone without needing to get a credit card with a promo 0% APR just to pay it off without putting all the cash down now

So this brings down device monthly prices by another $5ish , what do you think? WOuld make the G3 $19.33/mo but payoff in 30 months. So if i wanted a new phone in say, 24 mo and wanted to keep the G3 there will be a $100 payoff.

AT&T's Next 24 plan gives customers 30 months to pay off their smartphone | Android Central

I have the 12 month plan with a G3. Could not beat 0 interest for the phone. You do not have to give the phone back after you payments are up.
If at anytime I want to upgrade all I have to do is pay off the balance.
IMO a great deal.

You can pay off the balance at anytime and upgrade. The phone is yours to keep , this is not a lease but a installment plan with no interest.

Be very careful buying used/new AT&T and T-Mobile phones from PEOPLE. They may be under finance deals and you may end up with the phone blacklisted even months later !!! (happened to me)
