AT&T Nexus S ICS lock screen icon question

How do I add icons to the lock screen on an AT&T Nexus S with ice cream sandwich? On gingerbread, there was a quick slide to put the phone on silent and adding the option to text from the lock screen would be great too. Thanks for any help you can provide!

In the personalize, scroll to the screen you wish to, select 'settings', select the shortcuts icons you wish to see on the lock screen.

I don't see personalize anywhere. When I go to settings, there is nothing about shortcut icons. Is there another way to do it for an AT&T Nexus S? Thanks.

I did it by selecting GoSMS as my default texting program and then under Settings / Manage Apps / find Text Messaging and click it then click disable. That will show the default texting program on the lock screen.
