Jesus Christ people, it is just a phone!

its not about the phone.. its about how BAD HTC is doing business

Phone gets announce on Feb 19th..(or 18th)
Release says "Mid March world wide"
Retailers say "we expect shipments march 14th-17th pre-orders in the UK goes live"
March 10th or so they say its a delay in shipment due to production reasons. shipment is due "End of march- Early April"
One retailer gets the device (Phones4U) and starts shipping pre-orders on the 15th.
US carriers still in the blue,
Retailers besides Phones4u still don't know when they are getting shipment.
Now they say the phone won't be released till mid-April
a retailer name "Clove" says "Phones4u was not suppose to sell their devices till the 29th..

So its all screwed up.. correct me if im wrong anywhere.. Who's to blame? HTC or retailers?

the problem is this is only new phone thats worth buying until the gs4, the optimus is no where near up to par with this phone.

i'm optimistic that it will come this month, but the president of the company said mid april vs a rumor of this month. i have to believe the president is a more reliable source?

Except, the general consumer doesn't even know the phone exists. Only avid android fans who visit these tech websites are aware of these delay issues.
You say HTC is doing bad business because of the way they are marketing the phone. How do you market something that you don't have? As many people pointed out, the phone is still in production.
HTC will begin marketing the phone when they know there will not be any issues with stock.

In my opinion, this is the right move. Instead of marketing the phone now, and making people wait a month for it to be released, they are waiting for enough phones to be made so there are no shortages.
As of now, the only people that are frustrated by this delay are the miniscule amount of people (compared to the general population) who follow these tech forums/blogs.

I know this isn't a t-mobile forum but tmobile website says you have to purchase the HTC one by 3/31/13 for the $100 offer. Which would mean the HTC one would be on tmobile in march...technically wouldn't the HTC one have to be available on att by that time as well ???

Phone Scoop has a new article about how HTC is having shortages with camera parts since they are no longer a priority customer. These shortages will cause delays but there were no specific countries mentioned where the delays will occur. Some countries will still receive the phone by the end of the month but again there was no mention of which countries would receive these initial shipments.

yes but the extension is in gereneral and when you visit the actual tmobile website it says you have to purchase device by 3/31/13 from tmobile that is why I was a bit confused

just talk to a friend at ATT... He said new phones are coming in next week, but couldnt tell me exactly which phones... Im assuming its the HTC ONE and Blackberry. There should be an announcement by this weekend. My contract is up with tmobile, so I to am trying to wait patiently, Lets cross some fingers and pray to the technology wizards...
