AT&T release date????

what about music and photos, if i want to transfer all my photos from iphone what would i use ? is there a software like itunes for android

HTC said that the HTC One can be set up from an iTunes back up file which would have everything you need. Youd have to look more into it but I think they released a software tool for it

The thing I hate the most about owning an iPhone is the reliance on iTunes. It may be great for people who don't know how to use a computer file system, as it acts as a central hub for media in the iOS ecosystem. But if you know how to transfer photos from a digital camera or files from an external HD, then you're a pro at transferring files in Android. Bonus points if you have no problem using SSH to transfer wirelessly! Google uses the MTP protocol for it's devices now since ICS to let you easily transfer media, so the computer interacts with the device like an external drive...this is only speaking from Nexus devices without removable storage. With removable microSD cards, you had to mount the card to transfer...it's probably why Nexus devices stopped using removable storage.

With Music, obviously you can't transfer off your iPhone. You would have to transfer from your music library on your computer to your Android device. However if you're coming from iTunes and your music is in .aac, you may have to convert to .mp3. I guess it depends on what music player you plan to use on Android. I'm not entirely sure how Google Play Music handles .aac, since I keep my music in .mp3 format for both iOS and Android. Also with Google Play Music, you can store and upload 20,000 songs to your Google Account for free. Streaming from the cloud is obviously going to eat data, but if you're on unlimited data or always on wifi, then it's no problem. I believe Google Music also has a match like system like iTunes Match, except it's free.

With Photos, you can just copy them from your iPhone. Photostream on the Mac or PC will download those pics to your computer and then you can just copy them into a folder on your Android device.

looks like more delays for HTC... international release which is suppose to be next week, will be push back to mid april... No word on US release date, but if it follows suit, expect The ONE closer to end of April...

at this point im waiting until late may or june and ill be getting the s4.

Did you buy the phone outright from at&t? If not you better check you wont be penalized for selling it.

Not sure what you mean by outright, but yeah got it from at&t corporate store. How & why would I be penalized? I own it.

The only release date I was worried about was the Z10 :)

You must be really happy with that phone if you've had it 4 days and your already on the htc one forum looking for info. Luckily for you I'm sure there was no line for the z10's. Way more stock than consumer interest.

I picked up a Note 2 at a Best Buy Mobile on Saturday, finally dumping my tired BB Torch. I asked the guy to let me look at/play with the Z10 first, though.

They didn't even have one on display. He had to take it out of a drawer to show it to me, as if it were contraband. Nice going on the second day after its release.

international release are online websites like expansys and negri, which are taking pre-orders now... Germany, UK and taiwan have seen releases in limited stores...

several websites and blogs..... google search htc one release date...

I searched when you originally posted and there wasn't much to go off of. Just looked again, and yikes. Seems like it's gonna be a bit longer than expected (again).

according to pc world htc is working currently on arranging delivery dates with U.S. carrier and retail partners so i hope we see some announcements from att and others soon

Poor Htc.. They're gonna get slammed just like they did with the samsung galaxy s3, with that same delay. Overall due to the marketing the HTC one will far very short of expectations in terms of sales. They should pick a different release date for their phones. Releasing it alongside the s4 is not a good ideam

The crazy thing about all this is that att just announced pre orders for the s4 starts April 16th yet HTC nothing I was going to get it but it really seems as though this phone might not even make it over here unless its the euro version come on we should have had a pre order date by now in the US
