AT&T Return Trade-In Thread.

re: AT&T Return Trade-In Thread.

Now I'm getting upset. AT&T still hasnt marked it as received and it'll be a week tomorrow. Wtf. I've called them twice and the last time talked to someone in the trade in department and she said a few more days.. Covid has delayed their process. Grr.

Same thing for me bro LOL. USPS tracking said delivered on Monday and ATT Trade In Status still said in transit. I'm anticipate the worse to be honest LOL

re: AT&T Return Trade-In Thread.

Tried to call today and demanded a manager. And of all people he said can I call you back once I look over this stuff. I said no, rather wait. I've had them tell me that and not call me back. He said I call my people back. So I went OK.

Well, he never called me back. So tired of att. My company is done with them too.

It's only been a few weeks. Are you worry about the return nothing getting into their system? They did say wait for 2-3 cycles of billing before you see the credit.

2-3 cycles is for the credit to start....they are supposed to get the trade in within 30 days of activating your new device if not, you lose out.

re: AT&T Return Trade-In Thread.

I've been away for a week on business and get back to find my return envelope to send my trade-in phone... You gotta be kidding me right??

This little envelope is going to protect my trade-in phone and keep it in one piece to stay qualified for my credit??

It does have bubble wrap inside... but I'm not even sure if they feel properly inflated!

Ok... so people have actually taken their phone to an AT&T store and turned their trade-in phone that way?? Just need to give my account number to have them do it?? They give you a receipt as proof of turning it in??

Can I substitute this sorry excuse of an envelope and use the supplied USPS label on a proper box?? (I still have my original Note 8 box I rather wrap and stick that label to) Or is that label not going to cover the charge of a box over an envelope?

Thanks.

Put that in the same box you received your N20U.

Ahh... should have thought of that, thanks. Shouldn't be any issue with the return label using a box? Just concerned if it goes into postal abyss because the postage wasn't enough.

re: AT&T Return Trade-In Thread.

So my status finally update to Device Received and Processed. But at the bottom it said:

Value adjusted:
Wrong phone model - you entered Model TBD - Other but phone was actually Pixel 2 64GB

LOL. I don't think there was an option to select the phone model at trade in. I thought you can just send in any phone on that list?

re: AT&T Return Trade-In Thread.

Mine still hasn't updated, but I called them today and they opened a case she said due to some how its not attached to the phone # and the credit isn't being applied. So they are going to get it resolved she said. Still doesn't show them in their system as receiving the device but the tracking shows it was received 1.5 weeks ago.

Yep. Just walk in and tell them you upgraded to the new Note and you need to turn in your trade in.

What a cluster. Mine was delivered on 9/2. I guess given the 3 day holiday weekend we should all give ATT an chance to sort this. You are correct that when ordering the Note 20 there was no place to select the type of trade in device. Just said trade in any qualifying phone in the list. What a joke. If there are 15 or 20 of us complaining here there must be thousands of regular people out there. What worries me is that if ATT screws us there is virtually no recourse. Maybe a class action or something. Someone would jump at this.

re: AT&T Return Trade-In Thread.

My status just updated to received, but no info on trade yet. That is some movement at least since they received it 1.5 weeks ago.

Yeah man, going to wait a few more days and if they some how mess this up, I'm going to demand to be able to return the phone. Don't think it will work but no way I would have bought this phone at full price.

I think the better bet will be to demand the credits. The problem with this fiasco is ATT uses a third party to process trade ins and they no nothing about the Note deal. Then on the other hand ATT reps no nothing about the trade ins because that's handled by a 3rd party. So whoever you call is clueless. I am mildly concerned but I tend to think it will work out in the end.

re: AT&T Return Trade-In Thread.

I called at&t 3 separate times to ensure that any phone on the list got $1000. All 3 times said yes. Then when I took my trade to at&t store they assured me as well.

I'm still scared they're gonna pull some shenanigans.
