AT&T/Rogers 3G-capable and/or branded Nexus One is now available

I'm really not intending to complain. More just disappointed.. just seems they could've done a "coming soon" for AT&T/Rogers bands like they did for the VZW/Voda versions. It's my fault for jumping early of course.

man o man. now what do I do? I think I will deal with Edge for another few weeks to see what lands on Verizon. My company is switching us to expensed phone accounts in 3 weeks. A lot can happen by then.

So in terms of use in foreign countries, which phone will have the greatest potential? One with ATT bands or one with T-Mobile bands?

I never would have guessed that it would have hit AT&T first. Well my unlocked Nexus One with T-Mobile 3G bands is now available to purchase. Perfect condition. Check the marketplace for full details or PM me if anyone is interested.

Jeremy, you *never* experienced a single touch screen anomaly? I have but I've narrowed the source and know how to deal with it. I have a little anxiety about selling my Nexus to someone who may not be as informed and think I sold them a bum phone (which it's not, quite the opposite)

I'm not worried about that really. If you are referring to the soft buttons some complain of not really. They have a sweet spot you have to hit. Really is a non-issue to me.

For what it's worth: It's cheaper to deal with the the early termination fee from AT&T and get T-Mobile service than it is to buy a whole new Nexus One. Of course, you have to have TMo 3G to make it worth it. Guess which route I just went. :-/

I really want this thing, it is what I've been waiting for, but I've also been out of contract on AT&T for over a year, really wish they'd have done a subsidized deal, feel like I'm throwing away about 3 bills since I'd be on their service for the next two years anyway. At least the wife and boys can get new ones, guess the waiting for something compelling that at least works on AT&T is finally over!

or you could buy the Iphone under contract then sell said iphone for profit. Use profit made from iphone and buy the nexus one. :D

This blew my mind when I saw this. Couldn't be more excited, Not sure if its going to replace my iPhone 3GS on Rogers or my work Palm Pre on Bell (just need a sim).

Can't wait for it to arrive.

Wow, thanks, didn't know that was even possible!

I'll have to check details. My plan isn't even offered anymore it is so old!
If there's no contractual stuff keeping me from it I may do that.
I've never followed iphone stuff. By profit you mean above my subsidized cost but below retail I guess. If it works only on AT&T and someone wasn't due for upgrade/new subsidy they could just pay retail to AT&T right?. But NIB on ebay could get me close as you suggest.
Awesome!

let's talk data plan fees. Suppose I'm using a Razor on ATT and paying 20 bucks for a data plan. Say I get the N1 and put my sim in it. Is ATT going to start charging me $30 for data each month? Would they even know I'm using the N1?

They might. There are some people who been automatically put on the $30 plan and then there are some people still enjoying the $15 media plan. There was a huge thread on HOFO about this.
